Thiago "PitBull" Alves Tuesday July 15th! (7/09/08)
Fresh off his win over UFC Legend Matt Hughes, ATT Superstar Thiago Alves will be teaching class Tuesday July 15th starting at 6:30pm. Don't miss this great chance to train with one of the best of all time!

Cole Miller wins big!!!(7/05/08)
ATT Fighter and instructor Cole Miller wins via triangle in the 3rd round over BJJ Black Belt and Ultimate Fighter Vet Jorge Gurgel! Along with a great fight came the Submission of the night for Cole and We are very proud of Cole

ATT's Thiago "Pitbull" Alves to teach at our Gym!! (7/01/08)
In the coming weeks we will have Thiago Pitbull Alves fresh off his recent win over Matt Hughes coming in to teach class! The class will be open to all students in all programs! This is a great oppertunity to train with Pitbull before his next fight for the Welterweight UFC Title!

We will be announcing a date in the next week!

ATT 2-0 in Costa Rica! (6/15/08)
Congrats to Rodrigo "Baga" Ramos and to Ira on their wins this weekend in Costa Rica.

This was "Baga's" pro debut and he did an outstanding job finishing his opponent by rear naked choke 2:40 of round one! Ira followed up with qa first round submission too by katagatme 4:10 of the first round.

Way to go guys!

American Top Team Wins NAGA Grappling Tournament!(6/12/08)
We did it again! ATT took first place in the Adult NO-GI with 2080 points, 1st place in Adult Gi 1380 points, and 1st place in the Kids and teens divisions with 3150 points!!

Incredible job by ALL our students who stepped up and competed. We are extremly proud of their performance throughout this 2 day event.

Congrats to all our instructors who are some of the best in the biz. They did a super job preparing our students for competition, and to the parents who also play a big part in the success of our kids and teens programs.

Big Congrats - ATT!!!

THIAGO "PITBULL" ALVES TKO'S UFC LEGEND MATT HUGHES!!(6/07/08)
Thiago put on a tremendous performance over the greatest welterweight Champion in UFC history.

Despite suffering a bad ankle sprain approx. 10 days out of the most important fight of his career, Thaigo was able to put that behind him and take out Matt Hughes with a flying knee in the second round. Pitbull looked very strong in the opening round stuffing Matts takedown attempts and landing solid strikes from on top. When he did get taken down he was able to avoid any damage whatsoever from the former champ. Round 2 saw Pitbull on the attack landing a beautiful flying knee follwed by stiikes on his downed opponent before referee Herb Dean jumped in to stop the contest at 1:02 of round 2.

In his post fight speech, Pitbull asked President Dana White for the right to fight for the title! After taking out top ranked Karo Parysisan and now former Champ Matt Hughes it looks like the next step for him.

It must be said that our team has a tremendous amount of respect for Matt Hughes and all that he has accomplished in this sport. He was a great Champion for many years and it was an honor for us to compete aginst him in the main event. Thanks to Matt for taking the fight. He is a champion all the way.

Fianlly, Big Congrats to Thiago on the biggest win of his career. He trained like a madman in preperation for this fight and we are so happy that everything worked out for him. CONGRATS PITBULL WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF YOU!!! ATT!!!!!

Mike Brown beats Curran!(6/01/08)
Mike Brown wins by unanimous decision! Mike took on mma veteran Jeff Curran who was ranked #2 in the world at 145#'s. Mike did a great job of controlling the fight with his takedowns and ground and pound to pull out a unannimous decision.

We are all proud of the performance Mike was able to put on against a top notch quality opponent in Jeff Curran. Big Congratulations to Brownie!!!

Micah Millers wins by KO!(2/13/08)

Micah Miller defeated former #1 contended Chance Farrar by Knock Out in just 1:39 of the very first round! Congrats Micah!

New Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu(BJJ) class! (8/14/2007)
Starting Friday August 24th we will now have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Gi every friday grappling class at 6:30. Now we have two days of Gi training, Friday and Saturday. Our new BJJ Instructor is American Top Team black belt and professional fighter Rafael Rebello. Rafael is an outstanding instructor who pays attention to the finer details in grappling.

Starting on the 24th, Gi will be required. Talk to one of your instructors about purchasing a Gi if you do not currently have one.

This class is optional but highly recommended as it will truely help develop your grappling game.

New Wrestling Class by a UFC Fighter! (8/14/2007)
Starting in September Wednesday's grappling class will be instructed by our gyms newest edition, Carmelo Marrero! Carmelo is a 3 time UFC veteren and expert wrestler from Rider University. Take advantage of having such a great resource in the gym and show up Wednesdays ready to wrestle!

Charles McCarthy defeated Gideon Ray in UFC's Ultimate fighter 4 finale on November 11th 2006. Charles continues his streak of submission victories. Every win from Charles has been a submission!
